Katherine Stainken is a Technical Leader on the Electric Transportation team at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), working on the regulatory and policy issues on the grid side under the EVs2Scale 2030 Initiative. Prior to this role she was the VP Policy at the Electrification Coalition (EC), where she worked toward the passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act, testified before the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, wrote several in-depth reports, facilitated webinars, and grew the EC’s reach from five states to 12. Prior to EC, Katherine was the policy director at Plug In America, a non-profit representing the voice of the EV consumer, and was a director of government affairs at the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA). She is a Fulbright Scholar with a BS in Chemistry and German from Boston College, and has her Masters in Global Environmental Policy from American University.
