Tessa Sanchez is Head of Sustainability Policy at Uber, where she leads the company's global sustainability policy strategy, with a focus on electrification, decarbonization, and equitable access to clean transportation. She works at the intersection of policy, technology, and business to accelerate progress toward Uber's zero-emission goals, collaborating with governments, NGOs, and industry partners around the world.

Prior to joining Uber, Tessa spent nearly five years at Tesla, where she most recently served as Interim Lead for North American Charging Policy. In that role, she led a team responsible for shaping Tesla's EV charging policy strategy and driving regulatory engagement across the U.S. and Canada. She also led Tesla's local government affairs strategy, working with cities to advance electrification and clean energy deployment.

Earlier in her career, Tessa worked at the San Francisco Department of the Environment, where she helped develop the City's EV Roadmap and co-authored studies with research partners that quantified charging infrastructure needs to meet 100% EV adoption targets. Tessa holds a B.A. in Environmental Analysis and Policy from Boston University.
