Betz Mayer serves as Deputy Director of Incentive Programs at CALSTART, where she accelerates the adoption of zero-emission freight technologies through voucher incentive programs. Betz led CALSTART’s launch of the new Washington Zero-emission Incentive Program (WAZIP), overseen by WSDOT, which helps Washington-state businesses purchase zero-emission medium- and heavy-duty vehicles and off-road equipment through point-of-sale vouchers. In building the program, she used her background in northwest drayage decarbonization to ensure small fleets and small businesses have equitable access to emission-reduction incentives.
