Ajay Chawan is a Director in Guidehouse’s Global Energy, Sustainability, and Infrastructure (ES&I) Practice where he is a member of the firm’s Mobility Solutions Team. On this team, Ajay serves as the voice of the mobility sector to clients and stakeholders across the energy, transportation, industrial, and government sectors.

Ajay entered the mobility sector as a body engineer at Ford Motor Company in 1997. He made the transition to the electric mobility in 2012. From 2012 to 2013, he led the effort to localize production of the Nissan LEAF in the U.S. Ajay then joined Audi of America and led its launch efforts for its first plug-in vehicle, the A3 e-tron, its first full electric SUV that launched in 2019, and new business models made possible by ACES (autonomous, connected, electric, shared) technologies. Ajay has successfully completed projects for clients across the mobility landscape, including vehicle manufactures, electric utilities, and charging infrastructure providers.

Ajay holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering degree from Syracuse University, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Michigan, a Master of Engineering Management degree from Northwestern University, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Kellogg School of Management.
