Matt Warfield is a New Mobility Planner with the City of Boston’s Transportation Department. He oversees a range of programs including Recharge Boston, Boston’s zero emission vehicle program; Car Share Boston, a public-private partnership increasing access to car share vehicles; the GoHubs! pilot program, Boston’s version of the mobility hub; and shared micromobility. He is also developing curb use guidelines and piloting technologies to meet the changing demands for curb space. Prior to joining the City of Boston he worked in Baltimore as a parking and bike planner, and before he made the switch to urban planning, he spent a decade in the non-profit world addressing issues of homlessnes and poverty. Matt Warfield holds masters degrees in Social Work and Urban Planning from the University of Michigan.
