Matt is Director, Government Policy and Programs at SemaConnect, a leading provider of networked electric vehicle charging infrastructure solutions, based in Maryland. He directs SemaConnect’s public engagement at the federal and state levels while tracking legislative and regulatory policy developments.

Before joining SemaConnect, Matt was a member of BP America’s Communications & Advocacy team, covering a variety of international, federal, and state issues over 8 years. Earlier, Matt worked for former U.S. ambassador Edward Djerejian, director of Rice University’s nonpartisan Baker Institute for Public Policy in Houston, Texas, and for Amy Myers Jaffe, then a senior fellow at the Baker Institute. He holds a B.A. in history cum laude from Rice University and a Master of International Affairs degree with Distinction from The Australian National University.
