Kristin Shaw, LEED AP, is a Detroit-based, award winning communications and urban planning professional—fostering a connection between transportation, technology, and climate resiliency to deploy equitable and sustainable solutions that bring positive impact to the people of underserved communities.

Kristin has a demonstrated history of working in both the civil engineering, transportation, and hospitality industries. She is skilled in Project Management, Community Engagement, Marketing and Communication (including Social Media), Planning, and Public Speaking. She is also a trusted thought leader and has spoken at events across the country, is a guest lecturer at Wayne State University, and has published a book (Women Driven Mobility: Rethinking the Way the World Moves).

As an environmental advocate, Kristin is the co-chair of the recycling and waste reduction subcommittee for Detroit Green Task Force, a group dedicated to creating green jobs, improving environmental policy and building a more sustainable city. She is also passionate about volunteering and takes an active role with Detroit USGBC, Detroit Youth Improvement Council, and a variety of other non-profit organizations in Southeast Michigan. Kristin has received numerous awards and accreditation in her budding career, most notably she’s a Crain’s 20 in Their 20s 2019 honoree, a Detroit Young Professional’s Vanguard Award recipient, and a LEED AP O+M. Shaw earned her Master of Urban Planning and Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations degrees from Wayne State University.
