Chris Lee has served in the Hawaii State Legislature since 2008, where he authored laws making Hawaii the first state to mandate 100% renewable energy, transition to zero emissions transportation, and other laws modernizing the mission of the Department of Transportation. He currently chairs the Senate Committee on Transportation, Culture and the Arts. Senator Lee also serves as President of the National Caucus of Environmental Legislators, a bi-partisan coalition of 1500 state legislators across all 50 states focused on spreading best practices, policies, and laws across the country. Most recently he co-founded the Electric Innovation Initiative. He is a graduate of Oregon State University.
