The manufacturing and disposal of batteries has a huge impact on the environmental benefits of electric vehicles. Current systems also raise a number of equity concerns. How do we build a just, healthy battery supply chain? How can we make the most of batteries throughout their life cycle and recycle them effectively at the end of their use? What funding is available to support a just supply chain and recycling programs?
