Fleets are moving quickly to scale up electrification. In many states, truck fleets are required to operate increasing shares of electric trucks within the next couple of years - and 50 heavy trucks can draw as much power as the Empire State Building. However, fleets' need for rapid construction of large scale charging are often running into a utility business and regulatory model that can take years to approve and build required infrastructure. This panel will explore this tension, and emerging models that hold promise to speed up the process, or bypass it altogether.
