Ellen Kennedy is a Principal on the Carbon-Free Transportation team at RMI, focusing on equitable charging solutions for residents of MUDs as well as micro and shared mobility. Prior to this, she served as the City of San Diego’s Zero Emissions Vehicles Program Manager within the Sustainability and Mobility Division and worked on residential charging programs for PG&E’s Regulatory and Compliance team. An electric vehicle owner and enthusiast, Ellen is well versed in public, workplace, and residential EV charging strategies. Her background is in multi-modal transportation, environmental, energy, and sustainability planning and policy. A lifelong learner, she holds a Masters degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Minnesota, a graduate level certificate in Corporate Sustainability and Innovation from Harvard University, and a graduate level certificate in Financing and Deploying Clean Energy from Yale University. Ellen is also Zero Waste certified and maintains an Envision Sustainability Professional credential.
