Submission Details

Forth will use the following criteria as a means for evaluating proposals. Please note the majority of our audience has knowledge of electric mobility and does not need introductory information.

  1. Application: Does this proposal cover a critical, practical and timely topic that can help conference attendees advance their work?
  2. Innovative: Does this proposal present new findings, projects, policies or technologies that will move the industry forward?
  3. Equity: Does this proposal directly or indirectly address barriers to access for historically underserved communities?

Note: In addition to these above criteria, Forth seeks diverse representation from different geographic regions and disciplines, as well as race and gender diversity, to ensure the program reflects the diversity of the field. We structure our panels with speakers who represent different sectors and perspectives to foster engaging discussions.

The Forth Roadmap Conference is known for its impact-focused sessions featuring conversations between a diversity of industry perspectives. We are interested in the following proposal types:

Panels
The majority of breakout sessions consist of 75-minute thematic panels featuring 3-4 speakers, with presentations and time for discussion and Q&A. Conference organizers will organize cohesive panels from multiple proposals.

  • Panel Speaker: Speakers share their expertise with an audience of industry decision-makers and leaders through short presentations and discussion/Q&A. Speakers should be prepared to participate in prep sessions and assist in developing discussion questions prior to the session. Panels will be formed from multiple speaker proposals that address similar topics/themes.
  • Panel Moderator: Moderators guide the conversation by opening/closing the session and leading the discussion/Q&A. With the speakers, moderators are encouraged to organize prep sessions and refine the format/flow of the session. Moderators are not expected to decide the session topic or recruit speakers.

Roundtables
Roundtables feature interactive table-side conversations around the most pressing topics in electric transportation. Roundtables include a host and 6-8 participants.

  • Roundtable Host: Submit to host a roundtable discussion on a topic of your choice. Hosts select the topic and develop discussion materials and prompts. All Call for Proposal submissions not selected for a panel will be considered for this opportunity.

Please see the 2025 conference program for more information on our sessions.

Please submit the following through our online submission form. Only proposals submitted through this online form will receive full consideration.

  • Title: 15 words maximum
  • Session Description: 100 words minimum, 500 words maximum. What is the focus of this proposal? Recommendation: Be specific!
  • Learning Outcomes: Please list a few lessons, insights, and/or practices the audience will take away from this proposed session and be able to use in their work.
  • Session Information
    • Track: Vehicles, Charging, or Community Impact
    • Proposal Type: Panel Speaker, Panel Moderator, Roundtable Host
    • Topic Tag: please select all the topics this proposal covers.
    • Region: What geographic region(s) does this proposal feature?
  • Speaker Details
    • Name, Contact, Job Title, Organization
    • Short Biography (100-200 words) & Speaker Photo: for use on the conference website, if accepted.
    • Industry Sector, Racial & Gender Identity
    • Speaker Experience: 1-3 examples of recent speaking experience

  • Proposals should focus on educational outcomes, including sharing best practices, addressing lessons learned and proposing actionable steps.
  • Presentations should not be a platform solely for business promotion. If a presentation relates to a specific business, product, technology or project, the emphasis should be on the underlying research or innovation, with the objective of providing insight that attendees can apply to their own work.
  • Findings should reflect data collected within the last 18 months and contribute to on-the-ground solutions.
  • Forth seeks diverse representation from different geographic regions and disciplines, as well as race and gender diversity, to ensure the program reflects the diversity of the field. We structure our panels with speakers who represent different sectors and perspectives to foster engaging discussions.
  • To ensure the diversity of speakers and perspectives, with few exceptions, we will not invite presenters to speak more than once nor will we invite more than two individuals from the same organization to join the program. We will prioritize speakers who have spoken fewer than three consecutive years on the Forth Roadmap Conference program.
  • If the topic/content is specific to a geographic region, then presentations should highlight how it can be applied to other regions as well.
  • Selected speakers will be offered a deeply discounted full conference registration rate of $399, and are encouraged to attend the full conference. Registration includes access to 2 full days of conference programming, an industry exhibit hall, networking reception and meals. Forth offers a limited number of complimentary registrations and travel support through the Mobility for All scholarship for conference attendees, which speakers may apply for.

All proposals must be submitted in the online submission portal, Sessionize by Friday, February 13. Proposals will start being reviewed after this date. Late submissions will be accepted on a limited basis until all program spots have been filled.

Forth reserves the right to modify submissions, change the suggested format and accept partial panel speaker suggestions in order to bring the most innovative and relevant content possible to our audience.
