Ahead of Forth Roadmap, “Ride the ZEVergreen Current” with fellow conference
attendees! Hop on board an all-electric bus to see how Washington state is implementing nation-leading transportation electrification strategies, from innovative charging station manufacturing, to electrifying public transit, to decarbonizing medium- and heavy-duty trucks.
Attendees will meet directly with businesses and agencies leading these initiatives, and
will have an opportunity to network with local and national leaders in the transportation
electrification space. The round trip tour will begin and end at the Seattle Convention Center - Summit.
Site visits will include:
King County Metro Bus Depot & Charging Facility
Participants will tour King County Metro’s first 100 percent zero-emission bus depot, and the agency’s first large-scale construction of a charging facility for battery-electric buses (BEB). This depot serves as a pilot to inform how Metro can convert seven additional bases into BEB compatible facilities.
PACCAR Zero-Emission Truck Show and Tell
See Kenworth’s zero-emission trucks - the T680E, T880E, and medium-duty lineup - at a “Show and Tell” at the PACCAR parts building in Renton. Washington state is committed to decarbonizing medium- and heavy-duty trucking through its Climate Commitment Act-funded Washington Zero Emission Incentive Program.
Sound Transit Battery-Electric Bus Rapid Transit
Learn about Sound Transit’s Stride program, which is a new, high-capacity Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) network designed to connect communities north, east, and south of Lake Washington. The agency’s fleet of battery-electric double decker buses will be the first program in North America to use this technology.
Electric Era EVSE Manufacturing Site
Electric Era solves issues that plague EV charging through proprietary software and patented technology that combines battery and grid power, leading to unmatched reliability. Electric Era is deploying charging stations through the Climate Commitment Act-funded Washington Electric Vehicle Charging Program (WAEVCP), which will bring nearly 5,000 new charging ports to communities across the state.

Participants will gain clearer pathways for implementing transportation electrification initiatives, along with insights into proven approaches, common challenges, and opportunities for collaboration. The workshop will also connect utilities with key resources, tools, and partners who can support near- and long-term efforts.
By fostering peer exchange and regional alignment, this workshop aims to equip utilities with stronger direction, expanded networks, and the practical support needed to accelerate transportation electrification in their communities.
